Editor's note— Ord. No. 82-3, adopted Feb. 23, 1982, has been treated as amending the former erosion and sediment control ordinance, adopted June 25, 1975, in its entirety. Formerly, ch. 10 consisted of substantive plan. Subsequently, § 1 of Ord. No. 90-27, adopted Oct. 24, 1990, retitled ch. 10; and § 2 of said ordinance redesignated former arts. I and II as art. I and and added a new art. II to read as herein set out.

Editor's note— By Ordinance 89-19 adopted July 12, 1989, the Board of Supervisors of Hanover County adopted the Hanover County Drainage Design Handbook dated October 25, 1988. By Ordinance 08-14 adopted August 27, 2008 the Board of Supervisors of Hanover County adopted amendments to the Drainage Design Handbook and amended the Hanover County Code to include those and future amendments to the Handbook. By Ordinance 10-19 adopted January 12, 2011 the Board of Supervisors of Hanover County revised the Drainage Design Handbook including changes in formatting and in requirements for stormwater management and drainage facilities. By Ordinance 13-16 adopted February 12, 2014 the Board of Supervisors adopted the revised Drainage Design Handbook, including changes in requirements for open manmade and natural channels and stormwater management. By Ordinance 14-11, adopted November 12, 2014, the Board of Supervisors of Hanover County adopted the revised Drainage Design Handbook, including changes necessary to obtain state approval of Hanover County's stormwater management program. By Ordinance 19-06 adopted September 25, 2019, the Board of Supervisors of Hanover County adopted the revised Drainage Design Handbook to better provide for administration of matters related to stormwater management, floodplain, grading and drainage control facilities.
